At last, designers have finally created attire tailored to different body shapes and sizes, as opposed to adhering to cookie-cutter model-like forms.
Legs
If you’ve spent the entire winter toning those legs, you’ll be happy to know that most of this season’s catwalks are flaunting two-piece short suits. With both longer and shorter styles available, choose the length and fit to your liking. Tweed is always a great option for the office, whilst cotton suits are more apt for the summer months.
Length
If you’re on the petite side, but wish to flaunt your pins, try wearing a sports style dress with wedged trainers. Such a style creates the illusion of lengthier legs without having to don 6-inch stilettos.
Abs
If several weeks of working-out have left you with killer abs, then a cut-out dress may be right up your street. A little unsure of flaunting large areas of your skin? Then, opt for a style with sheer materials to give the impression of cut-out areas. Besides short styles, newly re-vamped maxi dresses complete with strategically placed slits are also making an appearance. These light and airy dresses will slim your abs and make them look fit and fabulous.
Curvy or Slim
As Britain goes into bloom, the runways are following suit. If you boast a slim silhouette, try edgy skinny cigarette-style pants. However, if you’re a little on the curvy side, choose a silk trouser in a darker shade. Larger ladies should avoid delicate prints and stripes and choose abstract patterns instead.
Arms and Shoulders
Many of us women do everything they can to hide their arms. But if you’re lucky enough to possess toned upper and lower biceps, show them off in a number of creations, including strapless dresses and tees, halter neck designs and strappy styles.
The Back
Numerous A-Listers have been spotted wearing items of clothing with plunging backs. This trend first became apparent at the Oscars and has been going strong ever since. To wear a backless dress, it is highly advised to pair it with the correct undergarments. This is often why such a trend is often more suited to the leaner figure. An adhesive bra is a smart investment that will offer you support and comfort, without spoiling the effect of the dress. When choosing accessories, go for simple embellishments, so that the dress remains the main focus of attention.
