I'm wiped out. Yesterday was my daughter's first birthday party. It came and went like the blink of an eye. The event I had been planning and organizing for weeks is over. Poof!
Amazing, isn't it? There's almost a letdown because it's over, but it truly was a fun party. The location was great, the food was tasty, the party goers were fabulous- a perfect recipe for a great party.
I'm so grateful to have so many family members and friends to share these precious life events with. My daughter's day was made whole because of them all. To think that she and my son will grow up with such loving people around them is awesome. I should know. Many of them supported me as I grew up.
So, now what? It's detox for my son. He's so hyped up from all the junk food he consumed, but luckily he's a great sleeper and had a good night's rest. My daughter has to readjust her schedule. She had a hard time resting last night. Her daddy and I have to sort through her presents and write the thank you cards (already started!). Not too shabby, eh?
On to the next main event: Christmas!
