Although the interior is fun, it’s not something to distract you from sub-par plates–oh, no! At The Chocolate Moose, there’s a real attention to what goes on the plate!
Every hamburger on the menu is hand-formed. Every pork tenderloin sandwich is hand-breaded. Did I mention that The Chocolate Moose uses locally-sourced meat, too? You can taste the difference!

For our time at this Grant County restaurant, we could hardly decide on what to order! Everything sounded so good. Simple, uncomplicated fare.
Although I wanted one of everything, I managed to narrow it down between the Reuben Sandwich, the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, or a burger of some kind. I knew that whatever I ordered I wanted a side of homemade potato chips to go with it!
My husband swooped in on a chicken sandwich with bacon and jalapeno peppers. The boys ordered a hot dog (Kid #2) and a cheeseburger (Kid #1).
As for me, I veered away from what I normally get. No Pork Tenderloin Sandwich this time! I had to try the Cowboy Burger. That’s 1/3 lb. of locally sourced beef, gourmet BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and beer battered onion rings.
