Brownies for the Brown Look

It was an occasion where I had to dress subtle Indian. Well, nothing could have been better than this classy peach colored Biba dress (Not the same one, but a similar one)

For my make-up, I decided to do a complementary brown look.

Here’s what I used:

Base Cream: The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream

I absolutely love this one currently. Sometimes when there isn’t enough time to do elaborate make-up this is my goto cream for that natural yet concealed look. I love how just a little bit of it is enough 🙂 I used this same cream as a concealer as well.

Foundation: Revlon Nearly Naked 130 Shell

After trying 3-4 brands for almost 30 minutes, I finally chose this one at the Central Mall. I am in love with this one, especially for because it gives a barely-there natural look and a dewy feel to my face with amazing coverage as well. And, not to mention – is quite long-lasting – around 4-5 hours in the non-humid Bangalore weather.

Lip colors:

I love to combine and color.

So the base shade is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick 393

The fabulous shade which I have used – Breezy Brown shade could be out of stock, so here’s an alternative.

OMG! My current favorite brown lip color has to be this one, gives my lips a lustrous yet nonshiny look, this one is creamy and sets perfectly.

On top of that, I have very very lightly applied Beyu Cashmere Lip Color Matte Shade ‘08’. Be careful as it has intensive coverage and pigmented. I found it long-lasting and cozily velvety, creamy texture. Also acts as a lip moisturizer. I was looking for that perfect orangey shade and I found it in this one at Health and Glow shop while strolling around in a mall 🙂 🙂

Find these wonders here at Nykaa .

Alternatively, you can find the exact shade “Cashmere 08”.

Contour: Giordani Gold Bronzing Pearls

These bronzing pearls have been my longtime favorite. Easy application and desired pigmentation 🙂 What more can I say! Let’s bronze it up at that.

Blush: Maybelline Tone on Tone nudes

I have the pink and peachy one. Coverage could be slightly more, I felt. The dual shades perfectly went with my skin tone to give it a dewy natural look.

Eyeshadows:

I used 2 eyeshadow palettes one of Maybelline Big eyes by eye studio. I have the 2017 edition, I used the peachy eyeshadow shade at the center for the base.

The latest edition is here on Nykaa

I achieved the brown look by some shades from the Oriflame The One Express Eye Palette,

And, you can see the result. A detailed review of the eyeshadows coming later on.. 🙂

Highlighter:

Oops, a little embarrassed, but I used one of the lighter eyeshadows in the above eyeshadow palettes was used as a highlighter on my cheekbones, nose, and temple.

Eye Liner:

Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil – Glazed Toffee

It is what it says in its title – long-lasting. Also, I found it perfectly creamy.

I recommend you check it before you buy it, because the first piece I bought at the Maybelline counter in a mall, turned out to be melted at the tip, hence I had to return and exchange it. The next one is a good piece, I found it hassle free.

Mascara:

I tried a new Sri Sri Tattva Mascara. Now, this is an Ayurvedic brand which I trust truly.

Try it for yourself for evenly coated lashes and rich volume.

I was delighted to find it here on Nykaa!

Well, that’s all, I have not used any concealer nor brow pencil, sorry about that 🙂 😛

But, this is a close up look, well I thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂
