The Bright Side of a Flood

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
As most of you know, my apartment flooded last Monday. The only thing that got ruined was a DIY project that I had hanging above my desk area. Anyway, I moved back in my place this week (after spending last week at my grandparent's house), and have been spending some time putting everything back together decor-wise. It's actually been kinda fun rearranging things and making my apartment feel like home again. I realized that I never gave y'all a virtual apartment tour of this new place that I moved into in October. Well once everything is all set back up, I'm gonna do just that. So get stoked!
I'm constantly adding things and changing things, but for the most part, everything is looking good. I've been wanting a new desk since before I moved, and this flood was the perfect time to take the leap. I've been pinning white desks for a few months now, so I knew that was the direction that I wanted to go in.  Keep in mind that I don't have an entire office space, since I live in a one bedroom apartment. Instead, I use a corner in my dining room as my "office space."

My desk hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but I've been brainstorming what I want to do with it once it arrives. Here are a few work spaces that I have been using as my inspiration. I truly believe that if you are in love with your work space, that inspiration will strike often and the work that you produce will be noteworthy.

I can't wait for my work space to be all set up! As soon as it is, I'm planning on giving y'all a tour of my entire apartment...I really hope y'all are excited as I am :) Look for that in late February or early March!
