The Body Shop New Edition Colour Crush Lipsticks – Review

One thing you can always count on from the Colour Crush lipstick range from The Body Shop is that they’re always super moisturising. And these two new editions (available since July 31st) are no exception. They glide on like a balm and don’t give you that scrunched up, dried out around the edges look that so many lipsticks are guilty of. Howeeevvver… these shades have been met with mixed reviews from my fellow beauty bloggers and friends. Shade no. 140 is an iridescent, shimmery coral and no.245 is it’s light rose pink twin. Not everyone is into iridescent lipstick, some people find it ages them. Then again not everyone is into matte/block/glossy lipsticks so each to their own.

I actually kind of like these shades, the pink more than the coral definitely, but they’re both nice lipsticks. They aren’t highly pigmented, so don’t expect a massive pop of color – these two neutral lippies will leave your lips feeling soft and mositurised with a shimmery tint of color. The pink is very subtle (and I love pink) so no.245 is quickly becoming my go-to daytime shade. Also, they have a sweet floral scent which I like.  If you’re looking for a more pigmented shade with the same moisturising benefits, check out their Colour Crush Shine Lipstick range – ‘Magenta Be’ is my fav.

You can pick them up for €12.95 from stores nationwide and as with all products from The Body Shop you can rest assured knowing they are 100% animal cruelty free.

Have you tried any of the latest edition Colour Crush lipstick range out? Thoughts?
