Summer is officially here in the Philippines! Although it is important to wear sunblock every single day especially if you live in a tropical country like ours, it is much more important when it is the summer season where the sun rays are extra brighter and hotter. Unfortunately for some people with oily skin, applying sunblock on the face can be dreadful! Luckily, there are now sunscreens that are non-greasy, non-tacky, has no white cast, and yet it will still help protect our skin from harmful UV rays. Below is the list of the best facial sunblocks for oily skin:
Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence
The first one on my list is this sunblock that practically gave me hope that there's really a sunblock out there that will really suit my skin and I will really like. This Soft Airy UV Essence ticks off almost everything I wanted from a facial sunblock: 1) non-greasy, 2) non-tacky, 3) no white cast, 4) lightweight, and 5) has SPF 50 which is enough for our tropical country. You can read my full review of this product here.
Where to Buy: You can purchase the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence in Wishtrend for $23. For those in the Philippines, this is also available in Go Bloom & Glow, Kbeauty Cafe, and The Skincare Curator for the same price of Php1200.
Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream (Long Lasting For Oily Skin) SPF50+ PA+++
I used to ignore this one thinking it might be like the Etude Sunprise sunscreams which are all so greasy for my oily skin (even the water formula for those with oily skin) but when I ended up sleeping over in a hotel with my friends, I wasn't prepared for the next day. I don't have any skincare with me! Luckily, my friend (an Innisfree fanatic may I say) have this suncream in her bag at all times so she lend it to me and OMG! I was converted! It is so lightweight, non-greasy, non-tacky, no white cast and most of all, this one is the most affordable facial sunblock in this list!
Where to Buy: You can purchase this in for $10. While in the Philippines, this is available in Go Bloom & Glow for Php788.
Etude House Soon Jung Mild Defense Sun Cream
This one is something I just bought last week, and another product I've been ignoring. Actually, I have been ignoring the entire Soon Jung line of Etude House even though is said to be for all skin types especially those with sensitive and acne-prone skin. AND I AM REGRETTING IT NOW. Their toner is a game changer for me, and now this facial sunblock surprised me that a physical sunscreen can be non-greasy, non-tacky, lightweight, and yes, no white cast too. Plus, they don't irritate my acne-prone skin.
Where to Buy: You can purchase this in for $15 and eBay for $12. In the Philippines, you can buy this in Go Bloom & Glow for Php810.
Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun SPF50
This one is quite similar to the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence above, not just in packaging and texture but also in ingredients. I think the only difference is the scent because this one smells a little bit like peppermint which kinda makes this feel a little cooling and soothing on the skin. Other than that, I think this one has an essential oil which can be irritating for those with sensitive skin. But overall, if you're not sensitive to EOs, this is one of the best facial sunblocks for oily skin. You can read my full product review here.
Where to Buy: You can purchase the Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun SPF 50 on for $14.90. You can also purchase this on for $13.90 for the same 60ml tube.
