The Best Apps To Help You Budget
These days its so easy to spend your money and not know where the heck its going. But its also very easy to keep track of your money so you know EXACTLY where it is going! These apps are my favorite in being able to help me keep track of my finances!
LearnVestI joined Learnvest months ago & I absolutely love it. The website is user friendly and you can easily determine your monthly spending habits at a glance. This handy little app not only stores all my finance friendly info in one place, but it shows me exactly where I am spending my money. Daily coffee, that Express purchase I knew I shouldn’t have made, my student loans…its all there! All you need to do is connect all of your accounts onto the secure website and everything can show up once you download the app onto your phone.
This app allows you to see your budgets for the month, create your own budgets, how much money you have in all of your accounts, and your cash flow. It also lets you know if you've gone over your budget depending on whether or not you set a limit on your budget. And its an easy way to keep track of any "goals" you may have, like a certain amount you'd like to reach in your savings account or paying off your student loans. Another thing I love about Learnvest? They have a ton of articles on their website, so if you have financial questions chances are you can always find an answer.
They also allow you to join for a fee in order to speak to experts if you need more help on getting your finances together. I've been so happy with the free app I don't see the need to pay for anything (as of yet, at least)!
MintMint is incredibly similar to Learnvest. It tracks all your information in one place, shows you where you are spending your money & allows you to create budgets. Mint also alerts you if you've gone over your budget or if you've made a purchase it may not suspect is yours.
Mint also offers "advice," like planning for retirement or refinancing options. Mint also uses your current bank information, credit cards, and usual shopping habits to make suggestions on how to save more money; like using a credit card that offers cash back, etc.
Lastly, although bank specific apps aren't necessarily useful for budgeting, its very important to have an app for your bank! After getting my debit card stolen once, I realized I needed to be on top of my accounts at all times. So I downloaded apps for my banks so I can always see how much I have in my accounts and be alerted of any suspicious activity which has actually helped me with unauthorized charges!
Do you use Learnvest or Mint? Do you have any other apps to keep track of your finances?
