This 22 Year old folk power player from the UK, Laura Marling delivers a beautifully sad and vivid track called The Beast. This not for the faint of heart song paints a picture of abuse and a twisted relationship and a night she lies with "the beast." Presumably a story of an encounter with a drunken lover who is less than gentle. Marling's vocals are superb and bring you deep into the dark night, and brings out strong emotions. Coming from her most recent album A Creature I Don't Know, a mature album with strong and relevant subject matter including the responsibilities of womanhood, the album is a strong collection silky vocals and beautiful lyrics. Sit back, turn it up and enjoy one of my favorite folk artists! Enjoy the listen!T.
