The Bacon-Obsessed in Me Needs This Bacon Scarf

The Bacon-Obsessed in Me Needs this Bacon ScarfThere is nothing about bacon that I don’t love…NOTHING!  The smell, the flavor, the crispiness.  Sorry vegans and vegetarians, your soy blend, whatever you call it, health-food tastes-like-bacon (if you haven’t actually eaten bacon in over a decade), just can’t get it done.  Yes, yes, yes, I know the health risks associated with bacon, I know that bacon is full of nitrates…I know, I know, I KNOW!

But, you know what?  I don’t care.  I consider bacon the 5th food group and I’m quite distrustful of anyone who doesn’t like bacon.

As my dad used to say, “Everything in moderation.”  Therefore, I figure if I don’t eat bacon everyday, I’m sure I’ll be fine.

Natalie Luder in her bacon scarf

So, imagine my delight when I saw this bacon scarf.  Fashionable bacon products are nothing new.   This silk scarf, designed by Natalie Luder is call “Fou Lard”.   “Fou” meaning crazy and “Lard” meaning fat.  Crazy Fat?  Yes, that describes this scarf perfectly.

Okay, truth?  I don’t know if I’d actually wear what looks like a raw slab of bacon around my neck.  However, any fashionable item that celebrates one of my favorite foods on the planet definitely makes me pay attention.

So, if you’re looking to do some bacon fashion holiday shopping.  Here is some bacon fashion that I found on Etsy.
