The Annual Jerome Iginla to The #Pens Rumors Have Begun, As Have The Jack Johnson Ones

The rumors have started. Jerome Iginla to the Pittsburgh Penguins rumor has started....
Puck Daddy reported a rumor that the Pens were interested in Jack Johnson, is lack of defense, goal scoring ability and $4+ million per year bloated contract
What I do agree with Puck Daddy on is that the Pens would be looking for a Power Play QB, however, it doesn't mean they need to look for him on the defensive Side. Steve Sullivan was a Forward and did that job. Plenty of Forwards can man the Power Play point. If the feeling is that the Pens need a PP QB, then to me this means that they are looking to set Paul Martin on the amnesty ship since he's been playing the other point position on the PP (when healthy)
IMO, the Pens don't need a PP QB right now. The PP is producing well without a Steve Sullivan and the Pens have Martin through the end of the season. Find that replacement in Free Agency. The Pens need a Defenseman that will block shots (and a lot of them).
