The American Secrets Take on New York City [buzzsession]

Posted on the 26 January 2012 by Thewildhoneypie @thewildhoneypie

Even if you don’t recognize their name, odds are that you’ve heard of Michigan’s The American Secrets before. And that’s because they’re the freecreditscore.com band and their faces are all over TV and internet video ads.  Every member of The American Secrets has had their share of influence on Detroit’s music scene. The band is actually a supergroup with members from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.The Great FictionDaniel Zott Manna and QuailSchaeffer, and Breath and Dirt.

When they were in town late last year, we headed to Union Square in Manhattan for a Buzzsession.  Watch “Riding on a Falcon”, “Mr. Cloud”, and “Let’s Not Stop!” off their EP The Fight below.

Thanks, as always, to Derek Eads for the album art seen above.  For more of his work, click here.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs which are given away for free.
