We’ve been getting a constant stream of new pictures from the set thanks to New York natives (being that most of the movie is being shot there) and director Marc Webb’s penchant for tweeting everything Spiderman, so as not to lose in the war of comic book hype against Bryan Singer. They’ve revealed the new Spidey outfit, Mary Jane Watson, and some voyeuristic “through the tree banches” shot of some of the scenes and now this new photo shows us another key location from the Marvel universe.
Behold, Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane.
…well it may not be the location shot that we wanted, but we get a revealing floor plan of the institute in this picture. For example, the literate crowd will immediately spot the “voltage cells” room on the chart and immediately think of Electro…because he has electric powers. Then there’s the…actually, I don’t know what else this reveals. Maybe the keen comic book fans can tell me a thing or two about this seemingly boring picture full of hints and clues (even though I pride myself in knowing as much as I do, I’d have to defer to someone else on this topic) And is Dr. Connors (aka The Lizard) being held in this institute?
Man, haven’t we waited enough for Rhino or Electro pictures? I’d hate for Marc Webb and Bryan Singer to continue to compete against each other with pictures of floor charts and Xaviers’ wheelchairs for another few months.
