The Parisian five-piece, The Aikiu, came out with a fantastic EP by the name of Win three months ago, but the staff at The Wild Honey Pie feel as if this particular track, “Somehow/Surfin”, deserves an extra bit of street cred’ post-release. The track has a healthy dose of tropical influence and melancholic dazedness, and if it was released in the hotter climates over our way, perhaps it would have made waves. Featuring a methodology similar to that of Vampire Weekend, the tracks are suitable for any lifestyle whether on the go or relaxing during a quick weekend getaway.
