The chart above is from the Pew Research Center. It shows that the view of islam as a violent religion increased after the 9/11 attacks -- especially among Republicans. That's sad, because islam is no more violent than christianity. The fundamentalists in both religions put their beliefs over the lives and safety of everyone, but most in both religions are peaceful people.
