I've been lucky enough to been able to try a Christmas Puddings this year, as well as the one I've made too. The one we tried was the Tesco Finest 12 Month Matured Christmas Pudding with Courvoisier VS Cognac which was infused with Cider, Amontillado Sherry and Ruby Port.

We used the easy heating option by microwave the little guy, which was relatively quick and simple process, instead of the 2-3 hours of steaming. When you opened the sealed top, you had a massive fragrant punch of boozy pud, and as you sliced into the cake, you saw nothing but rich moist fruit and nuts.

I think the cake was very indulgent in fruit, alcohol and nuts...maybe a few too many nuts. Out all us trying this Christmas Pudding on Christmas day only negative was that there were far too many nuts whole and half almonds in the pudding.

Some might love it due to the amount of almonds however the consistent verdict was that the Christmas Pudding was delicious however far too many almonds which we felt that it let it down. This is only just person preference, as we had one served with custard, one with double cream and rest with single cream ( every is so different when it comes to how they enjoy their Christmas pudding).
