We’ve been loving the dueling artistry of Delware’s  Teen Men for quite some time. Musicians Nick Krill and Joe Hobson (also of The Spinto Band) and visual artists Albert Birney and Catherine Maloney’s combined dreamy blend of idyllic indie pop and interactive video montages manifests into a whole new way to experience and enjoy both forms of art. Developing from a one-off experiment into a full-fledged project, Teen Men are now set to release their self-titled debut this summer and have a brand new video for their uplifting tune “René.” A track formerly released as a part of their Apartment In The City EP from 2014, “René” glistens with improved audio along Krill’s honeyed voice and burgeoning synths.

The video, directed by Calyer Creative Contributions, follows the journey of a man who has hired an unconventional but effective life coach to get himself back on track. Each slightly ridiculous challenge falls into a quirky humor that pairs perfectly with the song’s hopeful rise to syncopated, synth-filled glory. Teen Men’s self-titled debut  will be out on CD digitally on May 9th. An LP vinyl will also be released on July 14 via Bar/None. See Teen Men live on tour at a city near you with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah from May until August.
