Am I the only one finding it odd that the tone of Bridget Jones’ diary entries at 50 years of age is so similar to those diary entries when she was 30? The references to weight, the obsessive keeping track of events, the general writing style itself gives me such a sense of déjà vu.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I always thought people’s writing style change as they age.
Here’s an example entry from her diary. What do you think? Does it sound like something a 50-something lady would write?

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
