Wow! We must be having a great day today, Eric & Sookie Lovers! First we had MASpencer’s recap…now an another favorite blogger of ours, TB Rants and Raves, has posted her review too!
This makes me a very happy Eric & Sookie Lover! 
TB Rants & Raves review is very Eric & Sookie centric, so I won’t bore you with all of my favorite quotes…I’ll just tell you, what I told her…WORD to her entire review! 
But I will quote this, because she does make a great point…
Eric asks Sookie whether he really did all those things and she tells him he did but she knows he is capable of change. Eric isn’t having it. He tells Sookie that there is a light inside her that is beautiful and he couldn’t bear it if he snuffed it out.
Now, I personally do not think Eric meant “light” as in Sookie’s actual life. I think what he meant is what is inside of her that makes her special and not special in terms of Lightning Hands but special in terms of her overall essence i.e., what makes her kind, giving, trusting and happy. I think he is afraid that he will make her miserable and she will become an Arlene i.e., someone who is waiting for life to kick them in the teeth.
Eric leaves and Sookie is having none of it. She goes out on the porch and calls him back and begs him not to leave. Eric walks back and they hug and they kiss passionately and I LOVE that it was initiated by Sookie.
Notice the part in bold? I firmly believe this is what Alan Ball and his writers meant by Eric’s line, which he spoke in this episode.
