PROLOGUE
Months ago, Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti, referring people's perception on the Kashmir issue, had said that Modi may take "certain tough decisions... maybe positive ones." Mufti was speaking at the 'Idea Exchange' programme of English daily The Indian Express. On Friday, hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani claimed that Narendra Modi, BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, had sent emissaries to him seeking help to resolve the Kashmir issue. Talking to reporters Geelani said that he had rejected the prelude.
Responding to the issue BJP termed the claim as false and mischievous. BJP has categorically denied Geelani’s claim that Narendra Modi sent emissaries to meet him to resolve the Kashmir issue.
