The start of a new year seems the perfect time to take stock*. And particularly since it’s been a month since the last one.

Appropriately, “me today” was Saturday’s prompt in photo-a-day. I took a Bridget Jones-inspired approach [and then watched the movie last night!]

Making … A mess, usually
Cooking … As simply as possible
Drinking … A few too many wines [’tis the season]
Reading … Sunday papers
Wanting … My own holidays to come a little faster
Looking … For my favorite pen
Playing … With new cameras
Enjoying … The slower days
Waiting … For these hot days to be over
Liking … The light of summer
Wondering … If I can stick with the now weekly photo challenges
Thinking … I need to take more photos
Loving … The fact the magicians at Fixstation managed to fix my iPhone!
Smelling … Sunscreen
Admiring … Our firefighters and emergency services volunteers – amazing service to their communities!
Buying … A few things in the sales
Watching … The birds play in the water baths around the garden
Disliking … The hot weather – still
Snacking … Berries
Hearing … The smalls continue their music practice through the holidays
Wishing … Everyone a wonderful, creative and productive 2015!

Plus, ’tis the season for new calendars and not to be outdone, as I needed some, a January only calendar. Do you use the monthly calendar downloads? We use both versions ~ I like the horizontal one to plan my blogging and it sits under my keyboard. The smalls use the vertical one, hanging in the kitchen, to record whose turn it is for chores.

*I’ve modified Pip’s “taking stock” list [you can see hers here] into a shorter version for me.
