Taking A Look At: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Range

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

Today I’ll be reviewing a range of products from the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Range. I hadn’t tried many products from the brand and so I was really excited about the chance to! Most famous for their Cocoa Butter formula, Palmer’s produces a range of products for both women and men.

Palmer’s was founded in America more than 170 years ago in 1840 and made its Australian debut in 1997 with the now-famous Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula.

Today there’s a Palmer’s product for every skincare need; Hand and Body, Facial Care, Stretch Mark Care, Mens Skincare, Eventone, Hair Care and Body and Shower. And of course, each is a special formulation using only nature’s richest, most luxurious ingredients including Cocoa Butter, Olive Butter and Shea Butter. Palmer’s is a “cruelty free” company and does not conduct product tests on animals. - Palmer’s Australia

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Softens, Smoothes and Relieves Dry Skin

I found this lotion to be the perfect everyday moisturiser as the consistency wasn’t too thick, allowing it to be rubbed in and absorbed into the skin nice and quickly, perfect for applying after your shower or in the morning. It has a beautiful cocoa butter scent which will leave you smelling amazing while also having moisturised. I think that this is a great product for those who don’t suffer from extremely dry skin.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturising Cocoa Butter Body Wash

With a thick consistency, this body wash lathers very well in the shower and works well at both cleansing and moisturising at the same time. Your skin is left feeling fresh and when you step out of the shower, there’s no feeling of any dryness or tightening of the skin as it is really moisturising. This body wash contains no parabens, phthalates or sulphates.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Anti-Aging Smoothing Lotion

This rich lotion was a stand out for me for a number of reasons! I found that this lotion was really moisturising on my skin, leaving it soft and smooth! However, the thing that really stood out for me about this lotion is the way that it did actually soothe the skin. I suffer from a bit of KP (Keratosis Pilaris) on my lower legs and upper arm and because of this, I do have some bumps and redness in those areas and after using this for a few weeks, I have to stay that the redness, bumps and overall notice-ability of my KP has noticeably declined which is amazing! The lotion contains Alpha/Beta Hydroxy Acids to exfoliate the skin while moisturising. I will definitely continue to use this product for years to come!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Purifying Mask

With a clay and sweet almond oil base, this mask is said to draw out impurities, tighten and cool the skin. I found this mask to be really pleasant to use as it didn’t overly tighten and dry out the skin after using it. My skin felt smooth and clean and there was no dryness or irritation during or after use. It also contains Shea butter, Aloe, Chamomile and Milk Proteins.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone BB Cream

I’ve tried quite a few BB creams and some of the biggest issues I’ve found are the BB creams applying too orange, clinging to dry patches and leaving your face oily after just a few hours. Thankfully, the Palmer’s BB cream does none of the above. It blends into the skin quite easily and gives a light, although buildable coverage and has a natural finish on the skin. With my normal skin type, I only started to notice a bit of a shine towards the end of the day which is great performance for a BB cream.

This selection of products from the Palmer’s Coca Butter range has really impressed me. Particularly the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Anti-Aging Smoothing Lotion which I wouldn’t have necessary picked up at the shops and purchased for myself due to it’s ‘anti aging’ title, however, it has done wonders in aiding my skin with KP and I am so impressed by it as many other creams and lotions have failed to do what this lotion has achieved. This is definitely a product I recommend using if you suffer from KP or a skin condition!

With heavenly scents, this range will suit everyone and help in achieving beautiful, clear, moisturised skin with its range of affordable skincare products.
