Hi everyone,
Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on 2 of the latest limited edition palettes from Arbonne – The Golden Coast Palette and the Country Garden Palette.
A little bit about the brand if you’re unfamiliar with them,
Founded in Switzerland in 1975, Arbonne International, LLC, creates personal care and wellness products that are crafted with premium botanical ingredients and innovative scientific discovery. Arbonne products are vegan friendly, formulated without gluten, dermatologist tested and allergy tested safe. Arbonne. Pure, Safe, Beneficial.
Both palettes features gorgeous packaging and is made from a very sturdy material with a magnetic closure. The palette comes with a mirror (that’s a great size) on the inside of the flip top lid as well. In each palette, there are 5 products and a dual ended makeup brush. Each of the palettes also comes with a Sheer Moisture Lipstick to compliment the shades inside the palettes.
My favorite of the two palettes, the Golden Coast Palette (inspired by Australia’s beach coastline) comes with a Blush Bronzer in a coral shade with some gold shimmer running throughout as well as 4 beautiful neutral shades. The eyeshadows in this palette apply beautifully, they are buttery and smooth and have great pigmentation to them. They are all easy to blend and last well on the eye. All the shades have a gold dusted formula, meaning they are of a shimmer finish. The powder products contain Rosemary Leaf Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil and are mineral infused. The blush gives a beautiful glow to the skin and I found that on first application on the skin, it may seem that it isn’t pigmented enough, however, as you blend it into the cheeks, the color releases itself.
The Country Garden Palette ‘inspired by the whimsical, bloom-filled English countryside garden’ is also a palette worth looking into. It comes with 4 eyeshadows as well as a highlighter and bronzer duo. The highlighter is a stand out for me as it’s a gorgeous shade and like the previous palette, it’s smooth and pigmented, making application very easy. The bronzer does contain shimmer so it’s a great product to use to give a golden glow to the face and can even double up as an eyeshadow! The eyeshadows again apply nicely though I did find that the shade below the blue was a little drier compared to the other 3 in the palette. The pigmentation in the shadows in this palette were only slightly less pigmented than the Golden Coast Palette but still easy to use. Both lipsticks are also a highlight. The formula contains Mango Seed Butter and Pomegranate Extract, making the Sheer Moisture Lipsticks emollient. They glide onto the lips and give a soft tint of color with a gloss finish and are quite hydrating as they don’t dry out the lips. Another bonus is that they also smell quite nice!
I think that these palettes would be great to take on travel because it’s compact and contain all the products needed to create a gorgeous look for your eyes, cheeks and lips – the perfect all in 1. The included mirror is of a great size, allowing easy use when you’re on the go. Another feature of the palettes is that located on the bottom, is a product and application guide that states the shades’ names as well as how they can be used. It’s perfect for those who aren’t very experienced and would like a guide on which shade to use where and I believe it’d make an amazing gift as well for those who are just getting into makeup as the guides will be of big help as well as for those who are a little younger as a special present.
Overall, I am very impressed by the quality of the palettes. Looking at the sturdy packaging, the included mirror and the quality of the makeup products inside, both palettes would be something I would recommend! Whilst I love the highlighter in the Country Garden Palette, I’ve really taken a huge liking to the Golden Coast Palette. As a lover of neutral shades, that palette definitely contains my kind of shades. Both are limited edition palettes, so if you like the look of either (or both) of them, then make sure you look into the quickly before they sell out!
Below are swatches of both the palettes. The Sheer Moisture Lipsticks are swatched first, followed by either the blush or highlighter/bronzer duo and then the 4 eyeshadow shades. Please note that because of my fair skin, the last shades in both palettes appear to not have been swatched but I assure you, they are pigmented, my arm is just too pale!
Both palettes retail for $110.00. To find a stockist, phone 1800 650 760. All Arbonne products can be purchased through Arbonne’s extensive network of Independent Consultants, or online at http://www.arbonneinternational.com.au
