Dreamfolk.
Something deep inside me rumbles when I hear this song. Something very ancestral, as if history was told from generation to generation is this fashion. Colossal wars, epic battles, trials and tribulations; all explained to children and even their kin in such a musical way.
From the first few seconds, all my attention is devoted to the song. Taken, on a journey that is vividly painted with deep bass, beautifully forlorn violin and experienced Americana voices; the destination is nothing compared to the travel.
Brodie Jenkins, David Luning who make up Ghost and Gale come from the Bay Area are about to release a new EP which I will be on the lookout for. For now, check out ther first single off the EP, Take Me to the Fire.
