I have such fond memories of ʼ80s music, especially in my college years when my friends and I would party to the sounds of the most popular groups and artists. One of my very favorite groups was the all-girls band called The Go-Gos! They were HUGE, and everyone knew the words to all of their songs, like “We Got the Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed.” The lead singer/songwriter for the group, Belinda Carlisle, went on to have a very successful solo career once The Go-Gos disbanded, with hits like “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” and “Circle in the Sand.” So, I was thrilled when I heard that Carlisle just released a new album called ICON. It features many of her past hits, plus an exclusive new song called “Sun.” Listen to it in the video below:

Honestly, I can’t pick a favorite song from this CD because I love them all. I enjoyed the trip down memory lane when listening to those I’d heard before, as well as discovering those songs I hadn’t heard yet.
