Rubblebucket just released another electrifying track from Survival Sounds, which is due out next month. “Carousel Ride” sounds like a carousel ride if said carousel was the centerpiece of an intellectual rave on a planet much cooler than ours. Or something like that. “Ride” is really the keyword here as the synths stop and start with force and passion as Kalmia Traver fills in the pauses with chill musings on the cyclical nature of everything. As per usual, the track finds Rubblebucket showing up with the moment in mind, attempting to cram as much color into time as humanly possible and not giving a damn when it overflows because it makes for a better party.
