Take a Euro Vacay with Alexander Von Mehren’s Aéropop Album Trailer [video]

There’s no better way to start off a Friday than with some creative pop music accompanied by twirling plants and bird portraits, right? Right. Luckily for everyone, Norwegian pianist, songwriter and producer Alexander von Mehren debuted the album trailer for his (amazingly titled) record Aéropop. With a title like Aéropop, you’ve got to deliver some seriously light and peppy pop music, and based on what’s in the trailer, von Mehren doesn’t disappoint. The wildly talented 29 year old plays most of the instruments on the record, which was inspired by European library music and soundtracks from the 60s and 70s, and it’s easy to hear the influence. The minute you press play, you’re immediately swept away on a swanky daydream adventure where everyone wears pillbox hats and skinny ties. Aéropop comes out August 20th in the US — get ready to have a soundtrack for all future cocktail parties.
