I am so excited to see that my city, Sydney was one of 13 chosen to house a Louis Vuitton Maison within it.
CEO, Yves Carcelle revealed the reason for selecting Sydney.
"You (Sydney) represent significant market... You are forever a center of attraction for high-end tourists from all this part of the world," he said that the launch of the new store last night.
"The City of Sydney deserves what we call a Fifth Avenue of New York."
What's most exciting to me is the Louis Vuitton 'Made to Order' service, allowing clients namely the ladies, to personalise and custom build handbags, while the gents can do much the same with belts and shoes. Chiara from 'The Blonde Salad' was fortunate enough to be part of a Louis Vuitton Secret Places experience a few months back in Venezia where she gave insight into the luxuries of this service.
Today, we popped in to check out the store - so incredible was it to meet Mareo who talked me through the process of having the men's shoes custom made - I could have spent all day long listening and learning the art of making a magnificent shoe! I won't go into the costs but I am so sure that it would be so worth it!
I know at this stage I will not be able to afford myself such luxuries, but who knows what the future holds - so much hope and promise.
