Look of the day showcasing one of Milanis Color Statement lipsticks in Sweet Nectar, a rich orange. I think this color is beautiful but I probably should have put it on first before I did my eyes since it was the one product I knew for sure I wanted to use that day because while I think the colors coordinate I feel there is just a bit of a style clash with the eyes. C'est la Vie. My lips also happened to be a bit dehydrated, they were texturally smooth but were winkled and a bit pinched which doesn't do the color any favors I tried adding a gloss to smooth them over in appearance but....it gave me clown mouth. Needless to say I won't be posting those pics.
I definitely want to try this lip out again where it really is the main focus because I'm not sold that orange is as flattering as I hoped it would be on my skintone. I see a lot of other dark women wear it and I think it looks gorgeous but I feel it just looks a bit off on me and currently I would not feel comfortable wearing it around.
I really liked how my eyes turned out I think with a nude lip this could be a favorite eye look for myself. The eye shadow colors really made my eyes stand out and 'glow' in my opinion.
