The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Brahmacharini.
Brahmacharini appears in the form of a maiden girl filled with wisdom. She has two hands carrying a rosary and a kamandal. She is believed to bless the devotees with eternal knowledge and bliss. Goddess Brahmacharini is a lover of simple food and offerings. To worship the goddess, the devotees serve a bhog of mishri /sugar and fruits. Keeping the same in mind, I present you with a simple and easy to prepare bhog recipe that is made up of banana sugar and dry fruits.
All of us are very much aware that bananas are a healthy source of fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and various antioxidants and phytonutrients. On the other hand, dry fruits are traditionally known to be a powerhouse of all essential nutrients. Below, check out the entire recipe.
Ingredients:-
- 3 to 4 riped mashed banana
- 2 table spoon ghee
- 3/4 cup sugar/mishri (adjust the sweetness according to your taste)
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 tbs almond finely chopped
- 2 tbs cashew finely chopped
- 4 tbs desiccate coconut
Method:-
- Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame
- In pan Add well-mashed bananas, 2 tbs desiccate coconut, Cardamom powder, sugar, mix all well together.
- Cover it a cook over low to medium flame for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Occasionally stirring.
- When the mixture leaves sides off the pan switch off the gas and transfer the mixture onto a plate and keep aside to cool 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, divide the mixture into equal portions and roll each portion into a rolls. (you can give any shape)
- Roll each roll in desiccate coconut till they evenly coated from all sides.
- Banana rolls is ready for bhog.
