Sweater Series: Fifth Installment
Most part of 2020 has been spent in decluttering. I started with my pantry and reduced the ingredients down to basic grains, beans and spices. Then moved on to my office and donated 90% of my books to a second-hand bookstore. Now I am working on my closet, selling things which are in good condition, and giving away the few that are not in trend or season to a thrift store. And as I continue to declutter my spaces, some how my brain gets clarity as well. I am making space for things and thoughts that serve me today and giving away the rest to others who can make a better use of them. 2020 has been a learning experience, but also a therapeutic one.
Back to the sweater story: This is another one of my sweaters from Texas-days. Back then I shopped a lot from ASOS. It was a new shopping platform and had brands from the UK which you could get shipped anywhere for free. Although in the past few years I have not shopped from there at all. I think I got this one a) for the colors and b) for the fair isle pattern. I didn't own anything in this pattern or even know that that's what it was called up until 2009. This sweater unfortunately isn't pure wool but what I like about it is that it isn't heavy or chunky either, which makes it perfect to layer under jackets and coats. So as long as it continues to fit me, it will have a place in my closet.
