Let's talk about hand-me-downs. I feel we rarely talk about it, at least in popular culture right now. Back home (in India) passing clothes around generations, and families (cousins) and friends was so common while I was growing up. I still wear clothes which my mom, or friend or cousin is bored of but is in mint condition. So many of the pieces in my closet are actually hand-me-downs. In fact often when they are giving it away to me, I am thinking, "Wow! Why are they letting go of this fabulous item of clothing (or jewelry!)." But I never let my thoughts become words because I don't want them to change their minds. Ha!

So this sweater is a hand-me-down from a friend. I have had it for a few seasons and have worn it plenty. I had previously styled here with a cropped-flared denims and here over multi-colored pants. However, I am reaching a point where I am losing my love for it. The reason is the three-quarter sleeves. I am realizing that in winter time I am not a fan of any other sleeve length except full. I do not want any of my body part exposed because if it wasn't cold enough for a sweater, I wouldn't be in one. Makes sense? So what I am saying is that this is probably my last winter with this beautiful powder blue sweater.
