In 2010, the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) sued the Democratic Party and its leadership for “stealing” CPUSA’s party platform and relabeling it as “progressive”.
Two years later, all was well when CPUSA endorsed Obama and the Democratic Party in the 2012 elections.
What does that tell you?
It should tell you that if there is truth in labeling, the Democratic Party should really be renamed the Communist Party.
All of this is confirmed by a recent survey of 1,000 Likely Voters conducted on October 26-27, 2015 by Rasmussen Reports, which found that for the first time ever, a majority of Democrat voters view socialism favorably. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
As Doug Ross points out:
Socialism, Communism, Maoism, and National Socialism (e.g., the Nazi Party) are all offshoots of Marxism. They are all branches of the same defective tree.
Marxism has failed in literally every venue it has been tried, despite progressives’ laughable efforts to claim certain countries have implemented it successfully.
No country has and no country ever will, because — as Margaret Thatcher sagely observed — “[the] problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money“….
Where “Marxism Light” — socialism — gave way to its more extreme flavors (e.g., Communism, Nazism, Maoism) the inevitable result was mass murder by government.
According to a study conducted by academics at the University of Hawaii, Communism in the 20th century alone led to the murders of 110 million men, women and children.
Isn’t it ironic? When it comes to their own ideologies like climate change, progressives like to shut off debate by claiming that “The science is settled.”
In this case, the record of history is settled. Marxism and it descendents have failed in every situation and in very region across the world.
That the majority of Democrats could embrace such a twisted political philosophy is an indictment of not only our media, but also our failed, union-controlled educational system.
But wait.
The disorder of Democrats=liberals=progressives=socialists=communists goes even deeper.
Remember the 2012 Democratic National Convention when the party’s platform drafting committee removed the word “God” from their national platform? A day later, there was a motion to restore God to the party platform. The motion was put to a voice vote from the convention delegates. Three times the “No” voices were louder and more numerous than the “Yes” voices, as you can hear for yourself in the video below (beg. at 1:56 mark).
In other words, the majority of the DNC delegates three times rejected God.
That clearly was not what convention chairman Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa wanted. So he simply railroaded over the voice votes and declared that the motion passed by the required two-thirds. (See “Obama and the Democrats Turn Their Back to God”)
Now we know why the DNC delegates three times voted against God — most Democrats don’t believe in God.
Billy Hallowell reports for The Blaze, Nov. 3, 2015, that according to the Pew Research Center’s 2014 Religious Landscape Study, the largest, single “religious” group among Democrats is now the “nones” — an umbrella group that includes atheists, agnostics and those unaffiliated with a specific faith.
The new report, titled “U.S. Becoming Less Religious,” found that the growth of the “nones” has had a “particularly pronounced impact on the Democratic Party coalition.”
Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning adults, the “nones” (or “no religion”) now outnumber any other group, including evangelicals, Catholics, mainline Protestants and other religious cohorts, growing from just 19% in 2007 to 28% by 2014.
Among Democrats, Catholics declined from 24% in 2007 to 21% in 2014; Evangelicals declined from 19% in 2007 to 16% in 2014.
In contrast, the biggest religious cohort among Republicans in 2014 remained Evangelicals, who made up 38% of the GOP in 2014 as opposed to 37% back in 2007; the second biggest group in 2014 was Catholics, down to 21% from 22% in 2007.
Sadly, even among Republicans, the “no religion” group is increasing, from 10% in 2007 to 14% in 2014.
The newly released report — which found decreases in the proportions of Americans who say they believe in God, pray daily and attend church — follows an earlier Pew Research Center report this year that documented a notable decrease in the proportion of Americans calling themselves Christians.
