Surrey Wedding Photographer – Wedding Training

2 amazing days, 7 photographers and me at Northcote House near Sunningdale. This was my first full course that I personally delivered. I opened up my business to 7 photographers from all over the country and at all levels of experience. Day 1 we covered. How to get new clients, workflow, Websites and SEO, branding and anything else that arose. Day 2 was about the shooting of a wedding and editing through to album design. It was such a packed couples of days. My voice just about held out!

Here are a few images taken during the shooting session yesterday and a few images of how us taking the images. I will post delegates images soon but the ones below are all taken by me. Naturally lit image of Johny. I sat him on the ground to give a more relaxed angle. By having the tie open, it gives the impression of being before the wedding and building the story of the day. I love reflection! This is only a couple of feet from the first image but has a different feel. The reflection is a framed painting rather than a mirror. I am always looking for shiny surfaces. Canon 5D Mark 3 – f4 1/250 Auto WB ISO 2500 Canon 17-40 F4 at 26mm

This is using one of my best investments in the past year. A £15 LED video light from EBay! Shot in Aperture priority with a ‘human stand’ holding the video light. Canon 5D Mark 3 – f2.8 1/250 Auto WB ISO 1600 Canon 50mm 1.2 at 50mm Aperture Priority at -2/3 stop

Claire & Johny were a fantastic couple to photograph. I shot their real wedding a couple of years ago and now Claire works with us! This is my ‘dirty dancing ‘ pose. Canon 5D Mark 3 – f2.8 1/320 Auto WB ISO 640 Canon 50mm 1.2 at 50mm Aperture Priority at -1/3 stop large window on camera left gave fantastic light with the curtains half closed.

Same setting as above. They can never stay moody for long!

If you have seen my appearance on the One Show, you will have seen me close the curtains to get a flattering strip of light. I moved them around until Claires dress caught the light. Canon 5D Mark 3 – f4 1/250 Auto WB ISO 250 Canon 17 – 40 F4 at 19mm Aperture Priority at -2 stops

There are lots of nice grounds at Northcote House. I wanted to show that no matter where you are, its possible to get nice / different images on a wedding day.
