Surly Brewing Co. has just released an IPA that has already become one of my favorite beers they’ve ever brewed: 60 Below Rye IPA.
Back in October I posted about the start of Surly’s Colorado distribution, at which time they brought three of their core beers to the Colorado market: Furious (another awesome IPA), Xtra-Citra Pale Ale, and Hell Lager, all of which I’ve been enjoying the past 5 months. But the introduction of 60 Below has made me even happier!
60 Below is a fairly resinous IPA, and definitely the hoppiest beer I’ve had from Surly. It’s 6.5% ABV, which is perfect; it’s not a session beer yet not extremely high in alcohol content either.

I love this 12-pack, as it has something for everyone: 3 cans of each— Furious, Xtra-Citra, and Hell. But the pack containing 60 Below won’t be around forever; Surly will be changing up the “wild card” beer throughout the year. Check out their 2018 Brand Calendar to see what’s next.
I suggest finding the variety pack ASAP and trying this amazing new IPA! Cheers!
