Looking for a great cause to support? My good friends Amy and James are trying to raise some money for the MDA Muscle Walk being held on February 24th, which they attend every year in support of their son Noah who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Noah is an active five year old who was diagnosed with this disease when he was just a baby. It affects his muscles, which keeps him weak in the legs, hips, shoulders, and thighs. While he's now able to walk and run thanks to therapy, he struggles to keep up with other kids and needs to take frequent breaks to regain his strength.
This doesn't stop him, though! We just saw him this weekend, and he and my son had a blast playing together! He continues to make progress, and is doing well, but the disease is still there making things difficult for him. This is from his parent's invite to the Thirty One online party:
"Help support team Much Love for Noah in the MDA Muscle Walk!
I will be donating all of the commission from this party to the team.
Place your orders online!
Here is the direct party link: http://www.mythirtyone.com/shop/catalog.aspx?eventId=E2845601&from=DIRECTLINK
Please place orders by Feb. 22!"Amy tells me that the February special applies to this event, which is spend $31 and get a Keep-It Caddy for only $5!
MDA uses these donations for important research to help battle and cure muscular dystrophy. You may recall the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon? If so, you know how much this great organization does for people with MD and other related diseases.
If you could support this awesome cause, that would be great!
Many thanks!
~MarissaI am not being compensated for this post in any way by either Thirty One or MDA. This is just to show support for a worthy cause!
