Happy Sunday!

It has been a quiet but productive weekend here at the Shannon household. Holly and I have done some cleaning and purging, some shopping, and a whole lot of resting. That is, in between playing and watching the pup did we do all these things. It has been some time we have done a good cleaning, and constantly taking the pup outside has not made my floors any better. It felt good to be able to take our time and get things done properly without having to rush to the next rehearsal. This will be the last time we get to experience this, so we made sure to take advantage of the lack of scheduled events!

The rest of the week has been a little crazy as we adjust to life with the pup. He’s not a bad sleeper at all, which helps. He is a little too young yet for him to be able to understand bladder control let alone housebreaking, and he is most definitely not a fan of the bitter cold we are currently having. The poor thing starts shivering before we are even completely outside, and sometimes it takes some convincing that he has to do his business before he will be allowed back inside the house. He’s a pretty good boy, all things considered, and it helps that Tallulah loves to play with him. She helps keep him out of trouble by occupying his attention most of the time! Running back and forth between the house and work or the house and the studio makes things very hectic, and I feel that the only time I really get a chance for a breather is crawling into bed every night. I do recognize that this is all very short-lived in the grand scheme of things, so I am trying to stay positive and just have fun while he is still so very little. Holly is a tremendous help through all of this, making dinner or my lunch when I need her, helping with nighttime potty breaks, and pretty much anything else I ask of her. I definitely couldn’t manage without her!

Jim started his adventures Down Under on Thursday. He is having a lot of fun seeing some of the sites and hanging out with old family friends outside of Sydney. They are all going to visit more friends in Brisbane on Tuesday and in Darwin next Saturday, so they are truly getting the chance to see as much of the country as possible.

For all of you heading to or hosting Super Bowl parties, I hope you have fun! Holly and I are going to try to watch as much as we can, which is assuming the pup takes a nap during the game. I don’t know if we are going to do snacks or pizza for dinner, but we will come up with something Super Bowl appropriate.

Have a great week, everyone, and I will see you back here next week!
