Happy Sunday, my lovelies!
It is a gloomy day here, which makes it the perfect day to stay inside, snuggle under blankets, and watch TV, and all of this is what I plan to do today. I am so close to finishing a cross-stitch project for Holly, and my goal is to try to finish it today. So there will be football, blankets, some Downton Abbey, maybe a fire in the fireplace, and not much else as I work to finish this year-long project.
Jim went to Iowa to see Connor and watch Iowa State beat Texas Tech yesterday. Unfortunately, because of Holly’s dance rehearsal schedule, it was impossible for all of us to make the trip. It sounds like Jim had fun as he got to experience what Connor does every game day. It was a perfect fall day, which made the day even better. It sounds like Connor is doing well and is happy, if tired. Even though I was not there, hearing Jim’s report makes me happy too.
My thoughts go out to the community of Squirrel Hill after yesterday’s horrific hate crime. Something like that should never have happened on U.S. soil, and it is yet another reminder of how important the November 6th election is. Vote. Make sure everyone you know is voting. Help people get to the polling places. Do whatever you can to make this a record turnout. We need every vote because it is the only method of communication this administration seems to understand.
Everything else remains status quo around here. I am enjoying my impromptu long weekend and plan to go on Internet lockdown for the remainder of the day to extract as much relaxation and peace out of the weekend. Have a great Sunday and a wonderful work week!
