Reading:  In the City of Time by Gwendolyn Clare

Listening:  Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad and My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell

Watching:  Still watching the World Cup, even if the US is out of it. How can you ignore some of the best soccer you will ever see? I’ve also been on a geekfest lately, rewatching the Star Trek Kelvin timeline movies. Chris Pine, Karl Urban, and Simon Pegg alone are worth it. Add in Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, and Eric Bana, and it is just icing on the cake Plus, Thor and Emma Swan are James T. Kirk’s parents; it doesn’t get any better!

Cooking:  Jim has been gone more than he has been home for the past month, so the kitchen isn’t getting much use anymore. However, Holly is coming home on Wednesday, and she already sent me her list of foods she wants me to make in the month she is home. I’ll be busy baking up some of her favorite goodies before her arrival, as I am under strict instructions to bring some of those goodies with me to the airport.

Enjoying:  It is December 11th, and I am completely ready for Christmas. I await one last present before sending out Connor and Lauren’s box of goodies. I’ve wrapped everything, and the stocking stuffers are ready to go. I sent out all of the cards two weeks ago. I can sit back now and relax, maybe even enjoy the season instead of stressing over it.

Planning:  There isn’t much to plan other than to enjoy as much time with Holly while she is home as she will let us. I have to plan Christmas dinner, as Holly asked me to host. However, she and I have very different ideas of what to serve at Christmas dinner, so there will be plenty of discussions about it over the next two weeks.

Feeling:  I am so happy that Jim will be home in a few short hours. Moreover, he will be staying home for two weeks this time. It’s the longest he has been home since before we left Holly in Scotland. Then, Holly comes home for a month on Wednesday. Jim and I are so excited to see and talk to her without wondering what time it is for her. I want to hug her, well, lots of hugs. I’ve missed that and hearing her laugh most of all.
