Summer Skincare Sorted!

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
So we all know how important it is to keep our skin protected. in particular in the summer when the sun is shining and the nights are longer. (ooh yeaaah!)
Summer Skincare Sorted!
I spent a good month collecting a few products that I love and can use during the summer knowing that they will keep my skin protected during this gorgeously warm weather (If you're from Scotland, you will know that this is somewhat a novelty here! Long may it continue!).
A had a few things in mind that I needed to consider before deciding on the perfect products.
High SPF - I burn like nothing on earth and have had horrible things like sun stroke and severe sun burn before (to the point of blistering badly!) and I do not ever want to repeat that so finding a high SPF was super important to me.
Texture - I hate oily feeling SPF and so needed something that wasn't going to 'sit' on my skin
Long Lasting - I hate faffing about so for me, I love to apply something and forget about it for the rest of the day knowing I'm well protected.
Result - Forgetting SPF, my skin gets really dry after being in the sun and so I need something that will put some moisture back into my skin without feeling greasy.
So with all of this in mind, what products did I go for?
La Roche Posay have got some awesome skincare products out. It's so true what a lot of beauty professionals say when they say that French Pharmacy products are just super high quality. I have been loving the Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid which has a light coverage (doesn't feel thick or sticky) but still has a massive SPF 50.  I've also been loving two other products from the Anthelios range by La Roche Posay - the SPF 50+ Dry Touch Gel Cream is incredible! It feels like gel but also is quite creamy - it's a strange formula but feels amazing on your face. I actually like this on my arms aswell.  The Anthelios SPF 50+ Comfort Cream is a really good everyday SPF for dry skin but I must admit this did 'sit' on my skin a bit.
I also liked the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo which seems to minimize spots and oily patches. I use this at night time more than during the day.
Finally as a great overall body moisturizer that targets dry skin, the Jergens Daily Moisture moisturizer is really good but again, I would apply this at bedtime as this is quite thick and feels better once it's had a few hours to sink into the skin.
I know I've talked about La Roche Posay a lot in this post but I promise this article was not sponsored by them or anyone for that matter! some of the products were sent to me for review consideration but as always. I wouldn't recommend anything I don't personally love :)
What skincare are you loving for Summer?
