One of my passions is music, and it seems some of the best songs hit the radio, or make an appearance on our Pandora or Spotify playlists during the summer, when life is more relaxed and there’s nothing better than sipping on a cocktail outside jamming out to some great tunes. I’ve put together just a smaller version of my summer playlist, a mix of some new songs, and some older ones that are still making my summer upbeat and carefree. You can tell my style goes from mainstream pop to dance to indie and alternative, which is my typical go to music. Some of these songs work well for a casual dinner, a pool party, a road trip to the lake, or simply relaxing to a good book on a starry evening. “The Walker” by Fitz and Tantrums is the kind of song that makes stop everything I’m doing and dance, even sitting down, and by far my summer 2014 song
“Magic” and “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay, one of my favorites whatever mood I’m in. These songs are constantly on repeat.
“Pumping Blood” by NONONO makes me want to take a road trip to the beach
“Rather Be” and ““Extraordinary“ by Clean Bandit, and if you don’t know them, you’ve been living under a rock because their music is great no matter what mood you’re in. Their Pandora is a great mix for any summer occasion.
