If you’re
thinking about your summer holidays already, so am I! The trick is in finding a
suitable destination where there’ll be plenty of things to keep the kids busy
as well as all the entertainments and relaxation that Mum and Dad are hoping to
get. Some spectacular scenery would also be nice – there should be plenty of
great photo opportunities!
With this in
mind, you can’t go wrong with Antalya, but you won’t want to be in the heart of
the city. Being close to the beach really helps! Lara is one of the best places
to base yourself – after all, it’s right on the beach, and there are plenty of
facilities to suit the whole family.
In fact, if you
stay at the Delphin Palace hotel
or at the Delphin Diva, the whole
family is in for a whale of a time. They even have a ‘kids’ club’ where the
young ones can indulge in supervised activities while the adults enjoy a bit of
well-deserved ‘time off’ from the full-time job of parenting. That’s a real
plus when you’re on holiday. There’s no need to feel guilty – your kids will be
having a wonderful time and making lots of new friends!
If you’ve ever
been to Lara before, you’ll know that the gorgeous beach is home to many themed
hotels and the Delphin Palace as well as the Delphin diva are like huge Turkish
palaces – much more in keeping with the location than some of the other exotic
hotels that front the beach. However, the kid’s facilities at both of these
hotels are a real plus. Smaller children can swim safely in the kiddies’ pools
and there are quite spectacular playground facilities at both hotels as well as
water slides.
Knowing Lara,
you’ll have difficulty tearing yourself away from the beach, but while you’re
here, you should definitely enjoy Antalya as a whole. Just hop on the bus at
Lara if you’d like to spend some time sightseeing in this fascinating and
bustling city. There are plenty of attractions that will amuse the young ones.
There’s even a special kiddies room in the Archaeological Museum – and since
it’s a ‘must-see’ for any visitor, it’s good to know that it’s kiddie friendly
too. Of course, there are also several water parks that provide safe, fun
activities for the kids while you relax.
Take the young
ones along when you go to visit historical spots like Hadrian’s gate or the
theatre of Aspendos – just make sure you’ve done your homework first – you’ll
be able to amaze and entertain them with the stories behind these wonderful
relics of antiquity. They’ll get a little history lesson without even realising
it!
Of course, the
best thing about Antalya is the seaside. You won’t believe that the sea could
be so blue or the weather so perfect for a seaside holiday. So if you’re
thinking about a summer holiday in a place that’s so beautiful you might easily
think yourself in paradise, visit Antalya and stay on Lara beach!
