Summer Holiday Essentials.
Summer's almost over, but in the chance that some of you may still have a holiday booked - lucky things - here's what I'd recommend taking with you...
First up, comfortable shoes are a must have. My white converse are perfect, and go with pretty much everything, whilst being easy on the feet too. Pair with a pretty floral dress or denim cut-offs and a tee and you're done. My other fashion related picks have to be this bikini, which I adore the print and cut off, (the back has a gorgeous criss-cross design which is gorgeous, although not that great for tanning) and my Primark cape (/blanket if we're being honest) for covering up when the evenings get a bit chillier. This little ring was actually a holiday find, but I love accessorising with little bits and pieces to make simpler outfits more interesting. Another one of my favourites is my new Hamsa hand from Moontide jewellery, which gives a lovely boho chic feel. Silver is my go to as I just find it so much more flattering on my skin. My new Le Specs sunglasses also got to come along for the ride, they're a lovely cat-eye shape which I find really flattering on, and the tortoiseshell is just a bit softer than the regular black I go for. As for beauty, I try and take as little with me as possible because I know that in all probability I just won't use it. The Clarins Summer Range has you pretty much covered in terms of SPF duties - there's facial and body options, oils, and after-sun to keep your skin happy. I always hope to get a little bit of a tan too but don't want to ruin my skin in the pursuit of it so it is better to stay safe than sorry! I also packed my minis of the Big Sexy Hair Blonde range to make sure that my hair is cared for in the sunshine and doesn't go brassy.
Other essentials include my Dr. Pawpaw lip balm which is great for soothing dry lips, Soap and Glory Body sprays - brilliant for light refreshing smells to spritz on in the evenings and a couple of nail polishes for any chip touch-ups. Plus, I knew we were going to be doing lots of walking so also threw in ClearZal Nutritional Creme and Energising Creme - perfect for pepping up tired feet and making them look a little nicer too!
I also popped in my Kindle for relaxing reading and camera to get some nice shots - all of which I will be sharing with you in the next couple of posts. I think that's all ...
Any one else off on a trip soon? What do you have to take with you?
