This time of the year, we don’t see very many new album releases. There is, however, certainly no shortage of indie artists having a go at holiday music. This week, we’re changing things up a bit and rounding up the best indie holiday songs released this year. With names like Sufjan Stevens, The Eastern Sea, and The Polyphonic Spree, who says you can’t enjoy just a little more?

KISHI BASHI – “IT’S CHRISTMAS, BUT IT’S NOT WHITE HERE IN OUR TOWN”

Released as a limited edition snowflake-shaped Flexi Discs (paper thin vinyl), this Christmas single from Kishi Bashi is an absolute gem.  There are very few physical copies left so go buy yours now (here)!

THE EASTERN SEA – “THIS IS CHRISTMAS”

Austin-based band The Eastern Sea (@theeasternsea) released “This is Christmas,” off First Christmas, out now on WhiteLabBlackLab.
