Apple’s design guru Jony Ive has helped Bono’s (RED) Global Fund to raise millions of dollars to fight AIDS, with his stylish Leica M Camera which was recently auctioned for a whopping $1.805 million. Just like Ive’s many other designs, this camera represents his usual minimalist use of color and iPhone-style design.

Ive is the mastermind behind the design of most of the Apple’s successful devices including MacBook Pro, iMac, MacBook Air, iPod, iPhone, iPad, iOS 7 and many more. Him deciding to join with Leica comes as no surprise as the company is well known for making some ridiculously expensive cameras, including the world’s most expensive Leica O-1923 which was sold for $2.79 million.
