Stuff I'm loving - July edition
Welcome to Stuff I’ve Been Loving – July Edition!! Mann.. July came and went so quickly. I don’t even remember what I did all month apart from work. I was sent some brilliant products in late June and I have used it throughout July. One of the perks of being a beauty blogger is that we get the opportunity to try different products. Even after two years of blogging, I still think about how lucky I am that brands are willing to send me their products.

Frank Green X Those Girls Smart Cup* – I’ve been seeing Frank Green Smart Cups pop up quite regularly on Instagram and I’ve been obsessed with getting one. Out of nowhere one day, I came home from work and there was a package left on my front door. When I opened it, I was squealing with excitement and told the hubs ‘best week everrr‘. Inside the package was a Frank Green X Those Girls Smart Cup! The Frank Green Smart Cups are made with high quality materials so it won’t stain or make your coffee smell like plastic. The outer surface is rubbery so it won’t slip around and fits perfectly in my hand. They also come in a range of bright funky colours.

Fitbit Flex – I’ve had my Fitbit for over a year, I have an on and off relationship with this guy. I keep forgetting to charge it and would leave it sitting on my desk for months at a time. With a fully charged battery, I can get about 6 days out of it. During June and July, I’ve been wearing it everyday and tried to maintain an average of 14,000 steps. I’ve also been participating in some friendly Fitbit challenges with fellow beauty bloggers. I like to spend 40 minutes of my lunch time walking around and jog on the treadmill after work.

Nature’s Care PawPaw Balm* – Lately I’ve been loving multi-purpose products. The Nature’s Care PawPaw Balm can be used on all sorts of places such as dry elbows, knees, nail cuticles, lips, hands and on cracked heels. There are plenty of more uses for it but couldn’t name everything. The packaging is very hygienic and fits perfectly into my handbag.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask – I’ve been switching between this overnight mask and the Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream. I love both of them but I decided to feature the Clinique overnight mask because I don’t think I’ve ever talked about how amazing this mask is on the blog. I’ve had this mask for around 3 or 4 months and have been using it a couple of days a week. If you are wondering how to use it, I do my usual night time face routine and then apply this mask. There’s no washing, scrubbing or wiping off with tissues. It’s like a night time cream but slightly thicker.

Vanessa Megan Natures Elixir Face Oil* – During winter I love facial oils, it helps to keep my face hydrated especially at night. I apply a few drops of the Vanessa Megan Natures Elixir Face Oil, dilute with a bit of water and apply it all over my face. If I use it in the morning, it helps my powder to look more dewy. I think if you have oily skin, you should only use this at night.

DIY beads on Emma & Roe Rice Bead Chain* – I was sent the Emma & Roe Rice Bead Chain together with the bracelets in July but I couldn’t think of a way to style the necklace. A couple of weeks ago, I was flicking through facebook and noticed people wearing clay bead necklaces. I thought it was a pretty cool idea so I tried to make it myself. I bought some clay from Spotlight, molded the beads into shape and chucked them into the oven. I was pretty impressed with how it turned out and it looks awesome on the rice bead chain. I’ve been wearing it almost everyday to work.

Carmex Jasmine Green Tea Lip Balm* – When I first used this lip balm, I was amazed at the scent. It seriously smells like jasmine green tea!! Jasmine and green tea are my two favorite teas. I literally drink it every night after dinner. I love how the balm is in a hygienic squeezy tube form, instead of the original Carmex pot.

Aveda Invati Thickening Conditioner – I’ve been using this thickening conditioner for a while but keep forgetting to include it in my posts. Especially during winter, my hair gets very dull and flat. Using the Aveda thickening conditioner, it has provided my hair with some extra ompf.

Imperial Leather Indulgence Body Wash* – I was sent the new Imperial Leather Indulgence body wash a couple of months ago. The body wash comes in three beautiful scents: Effortless, Beautiful and Precious. At the moment, I have only tried Beautiful which is a combination of jasmine, lychee and peony scents. Totally in love with the scent, it leaves my skin feeling amazing and my shower smelling devine.

Germaine De Capuccini Intensive Multi-correction Cream* – This cream has left my skin feeling incredibly moisturised and hydrated. It absorbs quite quickly into the skin and does not leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy. The texture reminds me of body butter but not as thick. It’s a good moisturiser but I didn’t notice any differences in terms of wrinkle reduction or firmness.
