Strawberry Protein Shake

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
After yesterday's artery clogging post, I figured that today would be a good time to share something that does the body of my current favorite protein shakes. It's so important to rehydrate and refuel your body post-workout. An easy way to do that is by drinking water and a protein shake. Protein shakes allow protein to enter the body and be broken down quicker than eating protein (like chicken or tuna).
Strawberry Protein Shake
- 1 cup of almond milk (I use unsweetened vanilla) - 5 frozen strawberries - 1/2 of a frozen banana - 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract - Scoop or packet of protein (I use Perfect Fit Protein)
How to Make It:
Put all ingredients in blender (I use a Ninja) and mix together. Enjoy your shake while refueling your body! Note: if you're using fruit that isn't frozen, I would suggest adding in a few ice cubes so that your shake is chilled after everything is blended together.
Super easy to make and super delicious! Plus amazing for your body. Sometimes I make this for breakfast but add 2 handfuls of spinach...sounds disgusting but I promise it's not.
What's your favorite way to refuel & rehydrate post-workout?
