Baguio is known for having the finest strawberries in the country and Zenz Bar & Restaurant is taking advantage of it, making a fusion with our truly Filipino dishes like adobo and sinigang. This revolution in local culinary is a mastermind; surely everyone can’t resist such mouth-watering combination.
The Zenz Bar and Restaurant is the in house restaurant of the Mines View Park Hotel. Together with 10 travel bloggers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao we sat in a long table to taste their proud innovation with palatable indicates.
They first served the chicken adobo with strawberry; appealing plating was my first observation, a lip smacking for it was poured with evenly generous portion of chicken and strawberries. The verdict came up when we tasted this delightful chicken adobo, the broth was a lavish blend of sweet-and-sour with fizz of butter. Each bite of the well-cooked chicken meat was a heaven for me. Save the best for last! The strawberries gave a perfect harmonizing effect to the whole taste of adobo. Chicken adobo with strawberries was a surprise for me, I liked it and it’s a wonderful to my discriminating palate indeed.

Next is the pork sinigang with strawberries, their version is same with our mom’s sinigang, a sourly bliss savour. Strawberries in sinigang is just okay, I thought strawberries should be cooked separately to avoid overcooking of those cute little berries. The pork sinigang with our without strawberries is my favorite though.

Zenz Bar and Restaurant seems that they have a never ending food innovation especially when it comes to desserts. Their desserts include the dazzling Cheese Crisps, Corn Cheese Crepe, Choco Cheese Crepe and the luscious Berry Strawberry Crepe. These desserts are really toothsome. A must try when you’re in Baguio.
