Although there is no better way to my heart than Godiva chocolate covered strawberries, I decided it was time I tried making them on my own. They are a great dessert to put out at a party or bring when going to an event. When you need a large quantity of them it is much cheaper to make them rather than buy them. In this post I cut the stems off to make them more of a casual snack, but to do it like the Godiva ones (more fancy) leave the stem on and dip the strawberry further into the chocolate making it so 3/4 of the strawberry is covered in chocolate. To melt the chocolate I put a large bag of nestles chocolate chips in a double burner and stirred it as it melted.
