Stranger Cat has been all over this week , first with an amazing collaboration with Sufjan Stevens and now with a cover of one of our favorite songs, Lucius‘ “Two Of Us On The Run”. Stranger Cat maintains the quiet beauty of the track, but adds some personal touches — with swirling electronics and a lovely and quietly intense build. The true greatness of the cover, however, is how perfectly Cat Martino’s voice works with the stark electronic production. It’s rare that a cover of a song that is so loved not only does the song justice but brings it into new light — this cover does just that.
